I need to lose weight!!!


Question
I have tried so many different ways to try to lose weight.  I am a college student and I am trying to lose weight.  I am not anorexic but I have tried everything from that to only buying health foods.  I don't know how to do it and especially how to do it as a student with a budget.  Any advice you could give would help a ton.  I need to lose 20-30 pounds and hope to have it off by Christmas so I can feel good about myself around the holidays when I will see friends and family.  Thanks

Hello Erica!

    Thank you for your nutrition question. I would recommend checking out www.mypyramid.gov where you can create a healthy eating plan tailored to your calorie needs for weight loss. When you get to the site just enter your age, gender, and activity level and it will give you a complete menu.  Make sure that you are physically active for at least 30 minutes daily. I would recommend walking, jogging, swimming, and light weight training as well.
