mixing rehydrated figs with raw milk

Question
Hi dear Raw paleo diet, my name is Aura.
I have been low fat raw vegan/fruitarian for over 4 years but I feel I need to change my diet to a raw paleo one.. Still unsure which raw paleo profile but I will work it thru once I go along the path..

Anyway, I do not know where to start because I fear sudden changes, especially when involve dramatic shifts from high carbs (from fruits) to high fat (from animal sources).

I have been trying signing up to the raw paleo forum but server is not sending me the activation code for whatever reason.
I even asked the system to resend it, but did not work so far.

Today I got raw cows milk and wanted to have it with my overnight soaked figs (about 200 grams) but I freaked out, fearing sugar and fat would cause fermentation if mixed...
So I just had figs, for now..

I think I am just going to have 1 cup (250ml) of raw milk some 2 and half hours from now, to be safe.

Given your experience and knowledge, what would you recommend?
Could you explaining more about mixing sugar and fats, which proportions are safe?

Thank you very much!

Answer
It is sometimes true that suddenly switching from one extreme diet to another, quite opposite one can have negative effect on the body. I have heard of a few long-term raw vegans, for example, who, after many years, switched back to eating some meat and found that their bodies could no longer easily digest it as well as before, at least for a short time.

As regards my own experience, I will be honest and state that raw dairy, while it is the easiest raw animal food to get used to re taste, also happens to be the raw food which potentially causes the most health-problems for rawists. This is because raw cows' dairy is a non-palaeo food which most humans are ill-adapted to. Other "problem" raw foods can be raw veggie juice(juicing not only releases more nutrients but also more antinutrients as well), raw eggs, raw honey and raw suet. However, aside from raw veggie-juice, far fewer people have issues with the last 3 foods.

What I would suggest is that you stay with raw vegan for now, but add some high-fat raw plant food such as avocadoes to your diet. Then gradually go raw vegetarian(ie adding raw dairy, raw honeycomb and raw eggs, and eventually raw fish/shellfish). You might well be one of the minority who do well on raw dairy, who knows? Get hold of raw honeycomb rather than raw, liquid honey as the latter is often not actually raw, even if labelled as such(for example UK law allows honey to be labelled raw as long as it has only been heated for a short time up to 80 degrees Celsius!). Then start with raw, ground(grassfed or wild) meats, then the standard fresh, raw grassfed/wild meats, and finally the raw organ-meats. After you've done rawpalaeo for a year, you might even consider trying "high-meat".

I wouldn't worry about mixing sugars and fats. This is only really an issue if you are eating a cooked diet, given the nature of oxidised fats and maillard products in heated sugars created via cooking. That said, mixing plant foods and animal foods together in one meal generally forces the body to over-exert itself re digestion, and so mono-eating is a better idea(ie eating animal foods and plant foods separately, keeping c.half an hour between eating them), especially if one has digestive disorders.
