Co2 retention potassium

Question
I want to know that what,s going on with me since last few years. All my blood test results are in normal range but serum Potassium was low so I started taking it to 800 a day. I used to take 500 but due to deficincy I increased it but since that day I am experiencing hyperventilation problem.
I stopped it and checked my serum ca2 level which was high 27 and normal range is 21 - 28.
Before increasing potassium it was 25 and my turbinate swell from that day.
I checked my liver and kidney profile which seemed to ruled out that I have low creatinine level normal range is 0.7 - 1.2 and mine is 0.7. Same happen with billuribin 0.2-1.3 and mine came 0.3.
I am iron anemaic as well so I ruled out that malabsorption of protein is my problem. My daily intake of protein is 5 ounce a day with water intake 1 glass a day.
All other test are normal so is that mean I should follow rules for alkalosis patients due to elevated ca2 and protein malabsorption problem?
Please help me since 800 kcal diet from long time is disturbing my life and nose turbinate breathing problem due to low protein are making me swell.
waiting for any miracle

Answer
Dear Nina,

Since I am not a doctor I cannot possibly diagnose you ?not could another holistic doctor on-line without having met you. At the moment you are taking a fairly symptomatic approach to your condition with a standard check-list. It might be an idea, since you are looking for an alternative answer with me,  to take an overall picture of your self, incorporating your physical body with your soul-spiritual sheaths.

What we get then is a typical liver-picture. Potassium is the main housekeeper of the cell-household with a dual quality of swelling and structuring into proper buildinig blocks.  The liver is our most vital and discerning organ. Here glycogen is produced, providing you with energy. Toxins are removed, dead nutrients are revitalised into living energy (cells). Holistically it is an etheric organ related to water and its sugar-processes. The alkaloid carbon dioxide activated by potassium in this process is the 搒tuff?that brings true, cosmic, life-force to our etheric (life/water) system. It is this 揷hemical life force?which harmonises your astral with your etheric and gives you a personal structure and energy or zest for life, and lively thinking. In a sense it activates you and prevents you from becoming a plant (which also contains a lot of potassium)

Potassium also gives you a sense of self (like an inner 搇ight?, it 揵uilds you up? But overstimulated nerves (stress) or unprocessed sense impressions break you down. To allow potassium in and to do what it needs to do, combine healthy diet with relaxation and creativity. This strengthens purpose and identity on an inner level.

The type of potassium you absorb matters to how it works. In holistic medicine we cannot just look at the chemical properties of an element. We need to study its dynamics, otherwise you are just going to be weighing up too much/too little, like at a market.

Potassium deficiencies can be reflected in chronic nasal infections (swelling). Kalium bichromicum D6 is generallly used to stimulate a better integration of nerve-sense and metabolism.  Kalium carbonicum is another popular medication to help integrate your Higher Self. You might feel fatigue, anxieties, fear of failure or irritation along with the more physical complaints. This is because there is insufficient potassium for a balanced state of mind.

It is important to figure out, first of all, why there was a potassium deficiency in the first place. It can occur easily in hot climates if you do not drink enough (we lose potassium through perspiration). We need to replenish this daily by eating healthily: vegetables and fruits are rich in potassium (not protein rich foods!) Avocado, green leafy vegetables, bananas, dried fruits, nuts, soy, potatoes, molasses. It is not advisable to take potassium supplements without a proper medical prescription, since an excess can cause ulceration and weakening of the heart.

On a more intangible note, we can observe the workings of the liver as a tropical rainforest: full of heat, life, water, and busy, busy, busy. It is a very generous, joyous, courageous organ, a kind of Father Christmas or an Olympian God (don't upset it or it will give you grief, messing up your metabolic system, typically causing water retention and letting pollutants stack up).  It gives you the impulse to take life up with joy and zest. The gentle stirings of the soul are consolidated at this place, much like a kitchen in a home can funcion as a place where all come together, and is called the heart and soul of a house.

Weaknesses at the liver-level often give anaemia because a same weakness of will underlies both problems. This will is supported by iron, but also by tin, which is a liver-metal. Tin unlocks a paralysed will, and iron fortifies it with new impulse. I am not sure why you link up your anemia to protein absorption. The two are not linked in holistic medicine so simply. But if anything, an excess of protein would compromise the absorption of iron. For women iron is subtley balanced with copper, which links to the kidney, which does not like too much protein (especially not animal). The story at that level becomes quite complex, but this to indicate that blood values tell us very little about the seat of a weakness. The blood runs throughout and the iron in is a sign of vitality and life-force more than a residue of what you ate.

It is a robust and self-regenerating organ, too ?to a degree. But it likes rhythm and to be kept busy all day long, and all night long, but in different ways. It works in two shifts, building up (glycogen) at night, with a transition at 3 am when the gall bladder increases its activity getting ready to break down incoming nutrients. So it is kind on the liver not to eat regular meals, spread out between day break and evening, and full of life-force (fresh!). Avoid heavy meals too late at night (not after 8). In some regions, or for some religious practices this causes a problem for the liver, when meals are served late (when it cools down) or after sunset with regard to Ramadan.

In general, depending on your levels of activity, age, and frame, 800 calorie diets are way too low, unless they have been specifically prescribed by a professional dietician. You slow down your entire household and fragment the functions of your organs. Also, you run the risk of not obtaining all the nutrients and life-force you need. Try adding up the calories of all the foods you really need (grains, fruit, veg, some protein, fats and sugars in moderation and of the right kind are essential too) and see what you come up with. If it amounts to 800 you may be missing some vital ingredients. Source it from REAL food, not supplements which add nothing to your inner dynamic.

Lots of air travel can upset the liver, too, because it is an organ which relates to location and its time of day. Hence it is advisable never to drink alcohol or consume a protein rich meal on a plane.  When the liver becomes weak, you can expect depression, short tempers, and apathy. So watch out for these signs to see if you need to clean up the liver (detox, vitalise, support). Also, when symptoms worsen at a specific time of day this may be a clue. Catch weaknesses before they set in measurable illnesses (measured with blood tests). There are plenty of holistic courses of treatment available for this. In that sense it is an easy organ to work with and learn more about your true self from, but the work is usually lengthy (no quick fixes). The elevated carbon dioxide is also giving you a clue that you need to focus on your "out breath", in general. Yoga exercises can help, but also let go of emotions, old grievances, and other things that cramp you or keep your breathing shallow. Refresh the air within you!

Even if I have been unable to tell you exactly what is going on with you, I hope that I have stimulated a new way of looking at the problem. There are no miracles but the ones you bring about yourself through patient inquiries and increased self-knowledge.Then you will see life as one big miracle.
Wishing you much improved health and happiness,
Evelyn.
