Question
Hello, my name is Jason, i just had a quick question for you. What are some great around the house, non suppliment foods i can eat for a high protein diet?
i already have:
eggs
rice
beans
nuts
tuna (obvious meats)
Is oatmeal high in protein?
what are some other high protein foods im missing?

thanks...Jay

Answer
Dear Jason,

Sorry I didn't have a chance to reply before your bedtime - it's due to the time difference (I'm in France.)

Tuna is your best choice. Oatmeal isn't high in protein.

Missing on your list are:

Turkey, dairy, and seafood - all three because of being good sources of tryptophan, a serotonin precursor.

BTW, here are three worst foods for your sleep: strong coffee (as a sourse of caffeine,) and cheddar cheese and avocados as sources of tyrosine, an "exitatory" amino acid increasing  your alertness.

Hope it helps,
