OTC weight loss supplements

Question
Dr. Bailey,

I'm a 48-year-old female in good health. I have lost about 10 lb. in the last couple of months following a Weight Watchers regimen. I'm eating quite healthfully, not having any problems.  I'd like to lose about another 20 lb. (I'm currently at about 158 lb.) It's tempting to add a supplement like Xenadrine to my plan, in hopes of seeing a little speedier progress, but don't know whether that's practical or safe, or if it even really has much effect. I'd appreciate any input you may have on that.

Thanks very much!

Answer
It sounds to me like you are doing everything you should be.  Trying to lose weight fast using 'quick-fix' methods never really works in my  opinion and 10lb over a couple of months is about right. Weight loss supplements don't really work, save your money and carry on as you are!
