Meal timing and exercise

Question
Hi,

I was curious to know how much time gap is recommended between your meal and your exercise routine.
case 1. if you are going to exercise after breakfast. How much time after your breakfast ?
case 2. if you are going to exercise after lunch. How much time after your lunch ?
case 3. if you are going to exercise after dinner. How much time after your dinner ?

Also, I was wondering that how much time should one wait after the exercise and then eat something.
case 1. how much time should one wait after the exercise and have breakfast ?
case 2. how much time should one wait after the exercise and have lunch ?
case 3. how much time should one wait after the exercise and have dinner ?

thanks.

Anil

Answer
Hello Anil,

Generally, it's recommended that you don't exercise until 2 hours after a meal, any meal. The matter is, any meal increases the need for blood supply to the digestive organs so there can be insufficient blood supply to the muscle.

However, there are detail, which differ from an expert to an expert -- about meal/exercise interaction as well as about meal planning at large. Please read some of the details here:
