Gaining Muscle & Weight loss

Question
I am a male and 15 years old. I am 122 pounds and i am 5 feet 9. I have been eating normally as i usually would in the past month, nothing special or different. I usually exercise every week; swimming. I saw many sites that said gaining muscle and weight loss are complete opposites and had to be done at a different time. I was wondering if they are correct? I am skinny and i do not have a lot of body fat. However, i want my six packs to show up. I also want to get more bicep and tricep muscles as well. Basically i want to look better and gain more muscle and lose some of my body fat. Do you have any suggestions to this? Remeber i am only 15 years old.

Answer
Raymond,
You need to focus on gaining muscle. Your height and weight are approximately those of Angelina Jolie, so I doubt that you have six pack abs hiding under there. You need to start strength training. The best place to do that is at your school or somewhere familiar with teens, because if you overdo it with an adult strength training program, you can actually cause your bones to stop growing early and never reach your full adult height.
