Would like to have diet plans to gain weight. I need much weight. MY BMI is 15 ( much under average)

Pls help with some ideas about meals to eat and freqency of eating.

Answer
Dear Ashvin,

The only way to gain muscle weight (you don't want to gain fat, do you?) is eating enough - especially enough protein - and doing strength exercises.

You can calculate your protein daily and per meal requirement at:
http://www.muscletech.com/CALCULATORS/PROTEIN/Protein_Calculator.shtmlTo track you protein intake with foods try fitday.com - it's free and very good.

To learn how to do weight training, you might want to join (for free) to sparkpeople.com or just use their demos at:

http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/ex/all_exercises.asp

As to meal frequency, there's no consensus so it's a try & error business. A reasonable way is to make a change: increase or decrease the number of meals you currently have a day.

Hope it helps,
