PCOD n Thyroid n Bariatric surgery

hello sir,
i m 28 yrs old female and suffering from PCOD as well as Thyroid since 2004 which has resulted into sudden weight gain, no periods, and infertility.
i m on Thyrox 50 for my thyroid(hypothyrodism) and is now in control.
as for pcod and other gynaec problems i have gone through laproscopy and than IVF treatment and am blessed with twin baby boys in 2007
but after their birth i m not able to have my periods and gaining weight like anything.
i m 5.4" with 96 KG weight i would like to know which surgery would be appropriate for me and also as i m Indian resident is such a surgery possible here if yes than where?????

Ma'am,
It does sound as if a bariatric surgical procedure is reasonable for you.  Since the abnormalities of metabolism are prominent in your case (PCOD, especially) then I would think mostly of a gastric bypass or a gastric sleeve in preference to a gastric band.

I regret that I am not familiar with the geographic details of bariatric surgery in India, but I know there are a number of excellent surgeons in the country.  I recommend you begin a surgeon search by asking your Ob physician, and if not helpful then use internet search.  Make sure you like the surgeon in person before surgery, however.
