Raw Food Diet

Question
My sister is a "raw food" Person and I'm very impressed with the positive health benefits she is experiencing. I would be interested in your feelings/opinions on the Raw food diet, or "movement" as they call it.

Answer
Hello James,

I admire this diet and people who are able to stick with it. I met quite a few dieters, which also impressed me and I can understand the scientific or "natural-law" background for these positive results.

1. The foods are nutrient-dense and the nutrients are intact and not affected by thermal treatment;

2. They are NOT calorie-dense, which makes them more satisfying, calorie per calorie or ounce per ounce since our bodies register volumes of meals rather than meal's calorie content.

However, I can clearly see all the obstacles so you are right mentioning the "movement" because without strong motivation and support it'd be hard to keep doing.

I suggest, if you are seriously interested in this diet, to take a look at these eBooks:
