We all have cravings from time to time. And whatever your poison, you have to find a way to nip it in the bud if you want to have a tight, toned tummy.

A couple of general ways to defeat cravings are things like "don't allow yourself to be bored", "don't watch food shows on TV", and "only eat what you planned to eat". Also, keeping a food journal helps quite a lot because you are less likely to eat something bad if you have to write it down.

But what happens when the craving launches a sneak attack at the perfect moment and you 'just have to' give in?

This is when you need to have your CRAVING KILLER at the ready

A craving killer is a food which you can eat that deals with the craving AND doesn't destroy your diet. Here are a couple of examples:

  • A block of PROPER dark chocolate - must be 70% or more, and only a block or two. This stuff will take care of a sweet craving quickly and easily
  • A handful of cashew or macadamia nuts - these are rich and fatty so they give a high level of satiety making them perfect for destroying a snack-attack
  • A fruit or two - fruit is high in fibre, difficult to eat (crunchy) and sweet - these are all factors in taking away your craving

Next time you have a craving that you can't ignore, try one of these options. They are sure to get you back on the straight and narrow in no time.
