A healthy lunch option to prevent weight gain

Here is a healthy option for a lunch time meal. It is delicious, highly nutritious and is low in calories.

Salmon salad

To make a salmon salad:

  • combine salmon, fat-free cream cheese and some low fat mayonnaise

  • add salad vegetables - cucumber, cherry tomatoes, red onion and olives are excellent choices

  • add a pinch of salt and pepper to taste.

You could replace the salmon with tuna, if you have this lunch regularly and need a change or if you do not enjoy the taste of salmon. You could also replace the mayonnaise with plain yoghurt.
