Lose fat, build muscle.

Question
I recently was going to play football for my high school team, and in the process, I wanted to play offensive line, which had me eating a lot. I am no longer playing and I have gotten myself to about 180 pounds. I am 15 years old. And I was recently around 140-150 pounds. Most of the weight I put on was fat. Especially around my stomach, butt, legs, somewhat chest area as well. So I'm wondering if you can give me a diet plan on what to eat. And an exercise regime that I can do(it doesn't matter how often, I just want to lose weight). And all I have is a pair of dumbells that you can add weight to. So that's all I have to workout with. So any program and diet that can help me lose the fat off of those areas that I listed above fast/moderatly back to the 140-15- range, would be extremely appreciated.

Answer
Dear Thomas, I can't give you an entire diet plan via e-mail, but you can visit slimkids.com and see their free diet plan on the teen site. Try to eat the way you used to eat before you started training or getting ready for football, or just try to eat around 1500-1800 calories per day. That's the amount the Slimkids.com plan uses and you should lose about two pounds per week eating that amount. Exercise should consist of at least 30-45 minutes of walking, jogging, or riding a bike everyday. The dumbbells can be lifted three times a week. Choose dumbbell exercises that target all the major muscle groups.
Start this week and you should drop ten pounds in a month, more if you are active. Also remember that your weight is dependent on your height and if you have grown even an inch in the last 6 months, then that is worth about 5-7 pounds of bodyweight. Take that into consideration when figuring out what you should be weighing. You might never get back down to that 140-150 pound range if you have grown. Hope that helps, Laura Kraemer,Slimkids.com
